The first Republican presidential debate is quickly approaching, and with it, an early test of the candidates’ viability.
To qualify for the Aug. 23 debate in Milwaukee, a candidate must poll at least 1% in three national polls, or a mix of two national polls and two polls from early-primary states, according to rules set by the Republican National Committee. Candidates must also receive donations from 40,000 donors, including 200 unique donors in 20 states or more.
In addition to the polling and fundraising requirements, the candidates must also take a loyalty pledge in order to participate in the debate. With that pledge, which has been controversial among the candidates, GOP presidential hopefuls must sign a statement that they will support the eventual Republican nominee.
Though the barriers for entry aren’t especially high, some candidates have raised concerns that the addition of a fundraising requirement is too burdensome. All the while, the importance of the event has been called into question as former President Donald Trump, the GOP front-runner, has opted not to attend.

。 8 月 25 日消息，据荔枝新闻 8 月 24 日报道，星宇股份“羞辱式”劝退应届生的消息近期引起了争议。报道称，一位涉事应届生提供了公司 HR“劝退”他们的面谈录音。A 股车灯上市公司星宇股份 2025 年秋招大量招录研发、技术、管培生岗位应届生，规模约 400 人，含不少 985 / 双非硕士，承诺 1 个月产线实习后转入技术岗。2026 年 7 月这批学生正式入职，仅入职 1 个月左右（8 月上旬），HR 集中一对一约谈，推出“羞辱式”二选一方案：1.主动离职：当天签“个人原因离职”协议，公司补偿半个月工资；2.拒绝离职：强制调岗至车间一线流水线，做打螺丝、线路插接等普工工作，原定 1 个月产线实习延长至 3 个月，薪资按操作工标准重新核算。报道提到，最终约 70% 应届生（近 300 人）在压力下签字离职，剩余 120 人被迫接受一线调岗。律师表示，公司的行为已经涉嫌违反劳动法，建议劳动监察部门主动介入调查，涉事学生保存好证据申请劳动仲裁。
